It was a good watch. There's a lot of hypocrisy and double standards around, and us steroid users are often the victim of misinformation and stereotyping.

The basic issue is, are you allowed to do something to your body that's potentially harmful? And the answer is yes, you are allowed to skydive and go off 50' ski jumps and dirtbike jumps, and free climb 100' up in the air. The risk involved with steroids is miniscule compared to the risks we take all the time, like say driving.

It was a good watch, I also recommend it to other people, but more importantly, non-users need to see this movie.

did this movie come out on dvd? ...id like to check it out

Yep.. thats the reason Beta-Blockers and also Alcohol are banned in snooker - because the players used to use the drugs to gain a more steady hand and thus an unfair advantage.

The age old question is - how it is unfair if both players are using PED's??!

(Also while it is competitively legal, dart throwers swear by drinking booze to improve their game by steadying their nerves and hands - although physiologically it obviously dulls their senses more.)

I MUST make some time to watch this.

great flick. i have a link to a streaming online version of it if anyone wants it.

i bought it the first day it came out. Pretty cool to see Louie in there and some stuff from Westside.

i really liked this documentary- not just because it has to do with a topic such as steroids, but it was well done in my opinion.

it was honest and didn't have an agenda. he lets the watcher decided if steroids are the boon american's make them out to be, and i really liked the view of professional sports and the olympics the documentary took and if america's win at all cost is to blame for steroids in sport.

oddly enough of all the doctors and psychologists and industry experts interviewed, i found the guys dad to be the most intelligent of them all from a common sense stand point.

a must see if you like documentaries in general.

That movie is incredible and definitely a must see for a non user. Just gotta be able to convince them to watch it. the most interesting part i thought was how blindly ingnorant the politicians and anti-steroid critics appeared in the movie. Tayler Hooten's dad came out looking very ignorant. Especially since he wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that his son was on ant-depressants that have been shown to cause suicidal tendancies. Very good movie.

I downloaded it the first time but definitely gonna buy it now that i've seen it

it is a great film, and directors like this need to be supported. we need more movies to come out that go against the uneducated beliefs of the general public with real fact. so many things in our society get a negative connotation associated with them because the media and government capitalize on the experiences or actions of a few assholes, like in the case of steroids, and condemns them to being evil or dangerous with no redeeming value.

I would like to see an in depth documentary about the food industry. I think that would open a lot of eyes

I think they really battled the rep of "steroids" in his documentary. I mean they pulled some real hard hitting facts comparing them to all the other bs that kills people. It was funny when they talked to the senator and asked him where the money go to fight steroids? noone had an answer. I want to know where he got the hgh from! looked good. haha

Very good movie. It really shitted me off about the kid on anti-depressants dying whos dad went off tilt blaming it on steroids and closed his eyes to any other possibility. People like this get out in the media and yell and scream and this is all normal folk hear. There are no pro steroid people to dispute them so they get the bad rap that they do.

I thought the Landis interview was really interesting, but I'm a bit of a cycling fanatic. The main guy didn't seem to have an agenda which was good, the points about smoking and alcohol are imo excellent, and it was pretty interesting to see Biden plastered all over it.

I was a little skeptical at a few of the facts. Exactly how they determine steroids to be responsible for 3 deaths a year, for example? What are these, overdoses? I assume they can't measure the 70-80's BB's now who are getting serious liver conditions due to old Dbol use or bad cholesterol profiles. Or the guys who have heart attack at 35-45 due to their size, from gear. And he said the point about "making teens shorter" was still being debated, but I'm pretty sure there is no question giving test to a teen will fuse his growth plates.

Otherwise good movie, shows both sides of the story well. Really good watch for any non-user.

what i like the most is that the perspective of the director beforehand is that steroids were bad, and throughout this film he learned the opposite. if it were being made by somebody who was very pro-steroids it would seem like it was just a user justifying his use, but the point of view it is being presented in makes it much more convincing to the average person.

Supersize Me is about a guy that lives on McDonalds only for 30 days straight. It's entertaining, but the same guy doing this documentarty did a 60 min tv show on a guy that used roids that was the same old bullshit. I gotta wonder how much is accurate and how much is spun for entertainment value.

I'm a documentry freak so I'll definately have to take a look! -StOrY
