Wanted to see how much D3 people on here were taking, brands,etc..
 
Everyone needs different amounts, you should get blood work and see how low you are. I take 10k
 
Over the counter stuff is not as potent as the prescription d3. I take 20K ius every am and pm. My doctor said my vitamin d levels were excellent.
 
10,000 IU per day. Just using otc from the super market. Level is right at high normal via blood work. I also take K2with it.
 
Life Extension, 5,000IU / day.
 
10000iu daily and my blood level is always in the low 70s.

I've used a bunch of different brands. They all seem legit.
 
I take 10,000 IU's in the Winter and 5,000 IU's in the Summer when I get much more Sun.

It's from Sports Research, and has Organic Coconut Oil for Better Absorption, as Vitamin D is a Fat Soluble Vitamin......................... JP
 
Metagenics makes an excellent line of pharm grade supplements, including D3 w/k2. 10,000/day until levels come up, then a couple times a week only. Absorbs best with fat, so time it with a meal. Its possible to take too much D3, which can increase blood calcium levels

So are you all getting bloods done and finding a vitamin d deficiency?
 
10,000IU with 3 fish oil or krill oil.

Not going to get shit out of your fat soluble vitamins if you aren't adding fats with that meal. Usually easiest with breakfast if you can have whole eggs ect.

During prep (now) i just take fish/krill with them and my greens drink.

Same here. Not used that specific brand....but 10,000 a day with K2 right after an afternoon meal as that is when most of my fats are eat.

Last labs my doctor said I could scale back to every 3rd day and we would reevaluate after my next round of blood work.

Life Extension brand using VIP auto ship every month. 10,000 IUs in the winter, a little less in the summer to maintain serum levels around ~75.

This is the appropriate way to do it but a blood level of about 70 is optimal and 10,000iu per day puts me exactly at 70 so I continue to do what I am doing.
 
I use Life Extension D,K & Sea Iodine product...10,000iu.
Just remember when supplementing with a good, highly absorbable magnesium product, your Vitamin D levels are going to also increase.

Good to know. I guess I will try taking it in the morning with my fish oil and hemp seed oil.
