Layne is a good guy and great to see him do well at the IPFA show in KC. He really knows how to market himself within the Bodybuilding and fitness industry too.
From what I heard and read..he has a very strong deadlift too..close to 700 pounds if I am not mistaken. He resided in my hometown back in Illinois ( Champaign) for several years. I live out east these days (Brooklyn)
I met him once in Kansas City back in 05 at show I did out there... I certainly wish him well at his next contest on October 9.

His pec tear is nearly impossible to see and all the powerlifting he did certainly helped him pu a ton of thickness in his body. Major kudos, he looks great

I also have respect for these guys at this show, they brought great conditioning some of which looked better then at my NPC show. Now how long have they been natural?? Is what I want to know, but regaurdless it takes TONS of disapline to bring to the stage the package many of them did.

I was there backstage getting them ready and sending them out, along with giving most of them there pee test . And no I didnt look at there wee wee, lol.

Oh and he did seem like a very cool guy. Congrads to him!

He is leaner than most guys i've seen here (not as big) leaner than when I won my last show, and his lower back does look like its been through a lot of heavy deads.
