Making clean mass gains on Keto diet?

Looking for some info from the diet gurus here, If I were to go into a keto style diet, was planning on 375ish g protein, and 175ish g fat, and <50 g of carbs a car, taking a re-feed one day per week, where my last 3 meals of that day will be high carb. Will keep BCAA/glutamine intake very higher pre/intra/post workout. Post workout shake will have 30g dextrose for the insulin spike as well as more BCAA/Glutamine. So far it looks like the diet will be around 3300 cals/day. I weigh 205 @ 5'9.5" 10-11% BF. Maintenace is around 2600 cals a day. My question is this, if I do this diet in a combo with some syntheselen & synthetine, to shuttle fats for energy, will I be able to keep my current bf% or maybe even decrease it while still building mass? I plan on running testp/npp/eq @ 450/450/600 respectively. I am very carb sensitive, so thats why I am thinking about trying this avenue.
 
It could depend on whether or not you have reached your genetic potential, I did a ckd diet in high school while playing football to cut fat and I still managed to get stronger in all 3 major lifts. This was all natural too. Another thing to think about is that the idea of keto diets is to get into ketosis by not eating any carbs, but if you get in too much protein I do believe that your body can use excess protein the same way as it does carbs. I'd have to do some research on it again but I think thats what I remember from when I did ckd. I know alot of people have been having success with lean gains if you've thought about that? If not then getting a trainer from the forum isn't a bad idea either
 
Yes I did lean gains for a while early in the year, good results, I am just trying different things, to see if my body responds to anything better, as we are all different. Pondering the Ultimate Diet 2.0 by Lyle McDonald as well. I know I havn't reached my genetic potential because I am still growing and getting stronger by the month, I just want to bulk with as little fat accumulation as possible.
 
I did Bodyopus while on cycle about 15 years ago and that was the last time I did a CKD while on steroids. The recomp effect was ok but now I like to save my cycles for when I'm already lean and can focus on all out muscle gain(not worry about limiting carbs)

This is just a hobby. I would do it differently if I was trying to get into contest shape

Use MCT for fat.
 
After working with Dave Palumbo keto diets work but I wouldnt want to bulk on one. I do not think it is optimal.

I mean everyone is different but in my experience I use to say my body was carb sensitive but in actuality I can eat alot of carbs if I wanted to.

I think its more about carb timing and portions.

If you want to get the full effect of ketosis I would eat as little carbs as possible. Only getting them from the nuts, and shakes where its secondary.

But try it out and keep me posted on your results.

Yes, you could definitely do this and grow while staying lean. I have had success doing something very similar to this.
Throw in some additional leucine around the workout as well.

Jamie Lewis, his blog is Chaos and Pain. He does keto, is very unconventional in his ideas, just broke a PL record that hasn't been broken since the 70's.

You can actually stimulate an insulin release through amino acid supplementation: Stimulation of insulin secretion by amino acids.

Not saying, you'll add quite as much muscle as having some carbs in your diet, but you can generate an insulin response without the presence of carbohydrates.

can kill 200 pound person..What the heck does this mean. A person doesn't need carbs to survive.

Now with that said about 35 yrs ago i live on approx 4 lbs of beef, 36 whole eggs, cheese and and pitcher of OJ for 7 straight yrs. I took my weight from 249 to 320 lbs during this time and i felt great day after day and was big and strong as hell and looked great and believe it or not i'm still alive. Yes i had carbs from OJ but i drank that with 12 of those 36 eggs during training and i trained 6 days a week. Ate the same thing on that day off.

I'd do the same thing now except for some reason if i don't eat a bunch of carbs, i can't shit and get constipated like crazy. Constipation not good for those with hemorrhoids.

I really appreciate everyone's input, I don't think keto is the most optimal situation for growth after researching for the last 24 hours. I may give Lyle McDonalds ultimate diet 2.0 a shot,but instead of cutting cals by 50% the first, 3.5 days of the week, I'll only cut em by about 20%,that's what he recommended for more mass gained in the re composition. I'm already fairly lean I will adjust macros accordingly to stay that way.

Not a fan of keto anymore but I've done 400 pro with 200 fats and trace carbs. Definitely didn't feel like I was gonna die. Have had worse bloodwork on mod protein high carbs and trace fats to be honest.
 
For a keto diet you need to flip your proteins and fats, more fat than protein because your body will try to covert protein to carbs which will keep your body in limbo between ketone's and a glucose as it main fuel source.
I like keto diets for burning fat, as a muscle builder not so much. Some people that are really carb resistance might do better on a high calorie keto diet for mass gains,but other than that I would use it for fat loss only. And even if you try for weight gain then I would use a cycle plan of say 2 weeks on keto, one week on a more carb and protein based diet.
