Some one please correct me if I am wrong. From what I understand the purpose of the cheat meal is to help restore Letpin levels in the brain. Leptin signals the brain the body is in a "Fed" state. When one's body fat becomes lower and lower on into the single digits the levels of Leptin are severely deplenished in the brain slowing down the metabolism.
Is there anyone here that competes who does ZERO re-feed meals during a 16 week contest prep? I'm at week 10 of no cheating and I'm dying for a huge meal.
This is helpful information for me and it's appreciated very much. I think I might give a cheat meal a go and wolf down some sushi, steak and baked potato this weekend and then try and forget about cheating for another 4 weeks or so. If there is a significant weight loss next week following this cheat meal I'll post the results. Everyone's body is totally different and mine is telling me EAT. It's not so bad till about 3pm....on the flip side; I guess it might be that after 3PM and feeling like that would be a sign that I'm on the road to leaning out more and more which is appealing.
