i really need help gaining weight. im 5"10, 224lbs, 14% bf, age 26

been training 5 years. extreme ectmorph started training at 136lbs lol aged 21

my diet is as follows:-

1) 5 whole eggs (40g protein)
4 weetabix (75g carbs)
1 bagel (50g carbs)
Mammoth weight gainer (100g) (25g protein, 70g carbs)

2) 300g braising steak steak (105g protein)
300g sweet potato (50g carbs)
Mammoth (25g protein, 70g carbs)

3) 300g braising steak steak
300g sweet potato
Mammoth (25g protein, 70g carbs)

4) 300g braising steak steak
300g sweet potato
Mammoth (25g protein, 70g carbs)

5) 300g braising steak steak
300g sweet potato
Mammoth (25g protein, 70g carbs)

6) 300g braising steak steak
300g sweet potato
Mammoth (25g protein, 70g carbs)

total 715g protein, 765g carbs

Training -
mon - chest/biceps
tue - quads/hamstrings
wed - back/triceps
thurs - chest/biceps
fri - quads/hamstrings
sat - OFF
Sun - back/triceps

my main questions are?

1)am i eating enough?
2)am i training too often? if so what training plan would be better for off season mass?

please could any of the experienced help me to improve. i want to get to about 252lbs. ive been 224lbs all year i really need to gain more size

If my math is correct you have gained 88LBS in 5 years and your body fat is reasonable. Maybe you should be giving the advice:)
 
lol yeah ive gone from small mens clothes to xxl i regard my self as quite experienced but ive never competed. im hoping that the guys 250lbs + will be able to give me some help.


any ideas how to get me up to 250lbs?
 
also i dont take any vitamins/supplements apart from weight gainers.

cycle wise im only takin 40mg winstrol tabs per day just to give a hardness and pump. to be honest i dont know much at all about gear. ive traied short course of sus/deca 1000mg per week in past
 
I am a bit confused...

Maybe if you reread what you wrote you would see that you are doing pretty damn well for yourself(assuming 100% of what you say is true not that I'm doubting you). What is your issue? Are you in a hurry? Most guys would kill for those kinds of gains...
 
Diet looks hardcore man. If I were you I would train EOD. Hit the muscle hard and fast, that I know I will have off next day...
 
i know nasty im really happy with my gains. an ex pro from the u.k said i got great genetics but im never happy always want to gain more lol

if i trained EOD what wud the split be?

Totally agree!!!! keep plugging along and reading the articles on this forum. Sounds to me you are doing fantastic.
 
At 14% bf (assuming it's an accurate estimation), you wanna get weight?

If you succeed in your quest, I guarantee you most of it will be adipose tissue.

Diet down, get much leaner, and then maybe think about adding quality pounds (muscle)... not just water weight + fat.

Also why no lipids and so many carbs in your diet? What's your reasoning for not eating fats?

You also eat way too much protein for your frame IMO.

all the carbs due to bein an extreme ectomorph. if i eat less carbs i lose size and fullness.

what kind of lipids and how much would be good?

if i dropped the protein down to say 500g, would i increase carbs or put in lipids?

There are so many variables to take into account... how could I or anyone else for that matter throw a number out of nowhere?

Are you natural? On AAS? Slin, GH? Other stimulants? What doses?

Have you ever tried to eat following other routes than the high pro/high carb/zero fat diet? If so how did you react? Etc...

If you could post pics, it would also greatly help us to advise you... 224 lbs can look very different depending on the person, and fat deposits' location on a human body is a good indication of hormonal sensitivity (estrogens, slin, etc...).

If your goal is too get fat, you will suceed. That diet is terrible, there is no way I can see your body assimulating that much protein, carbs and fats (yea, you forgot to add that, steak contains alot) in one setting. I agree, show me pictures, I bet if you are eating like this your BF is alot higher. This coming from an experience Ectomorph.

no i tested my bf with claipars its 14%. as i say i can eat all day an not get fat. im naturally 136lbs very skinny. i did a metabolic test (the one where u breath into a bag) lol cant remeber what its called, and i burn 3500 kcals at rest!

Just to let you know, skin calipurs have a 4-5% inacurracy, sometimes more when not taking properly. Post pictures, you have very experience people here that can help you. I was naturally 150 at 6'1" when I started and managed to pack on plenty of muscle, but with a completely different diet. So, something is wrong, maybe your training? I don't know, with out knowing eveyrthing in detail about you. EX: Diet, training, cardio, AAS, pictures. If you do this you will get honest answers. Maybe you can eat 5000-6000 caories, but your protien, carbs, fats is not good at that diet. You might be thin, but your insides can still be effected negatively.
