What are we really eating...???

That ain't no damn chicken fried steak, that's country fried steak!

Kidding, but we called it country fried steak when I was growing up. It goes by all kinda names. Dad eventually became successful, but when I was single digits, we were poor and this was by far one of my favorites; dad would cook it about once a week with mashed potatoes and pan gravy. Man oh man, it didn't get any better, and dad sure had a way of making us forget we were poor.

Sometimes you have to be creative - (sort of soup) Turkey - sweet red peppers/yellow - cilantro - onions - acorn squash -few grams of 90% beef - Tomato juice w water added - NonFat Greek Yogurt with black berries

Eating light - recently had surgery - can't make it to the gym - keeping carbs low
 
For guys wanting to get to extreme levels of size, here's your reminder that nobody's doing that eating chicken / rice / broccoli all the time - you need a structured base diet but you also need a few big calorie spikes during the week. Here's my brunch and dinner from yesterday:

Brunch:
  • Chicken fried steak (brought around 15% home)
  • 3 whole eggs scrambled with cheese
  • Watermelon / cantaloupe / grapes
  • 1 biscuit with butter and orange marmalade
  • 3 chocolate chip pancakes with syrup (brought 1.5 home)
Girlfriend had migas with chorizo but they forgot the chorizo so she sent it back.

Dinner:
  • 61 pieces sushi (brought around 20 home and ate most of them for my last meal of the night)
 
This is what mornings look like for me now. Could be steak or burgers with eggs. Mix and match. I love a ham steak sometimes too because ham and eggs is just too awesome. I do mostly citrus fruits. Bananas are good but only last for 2 days unless I buy them green. The oatmeal is go or no go depending how depleted I feel. Avocados are also good and I started dicing up pineapple chunks. Appes and pears are also good, very fibrous and crunchy. But our supermarket fruits and veggies suck balls here. So I have to take a bit of a drive out to the country to get the goods and then it's all gone in 3 days (especially with the kids).

I could easily crush the eggs/ chicken fried steak, fruit & biscuits. But no way would I be able to choke down those pancakes,
