after years of training and going thru countless rountines, i can finaaly dial in my workouts. it actually happen oneday while just thinking inbetween sets hey lets see how this works. after incline benching . i told my workout partner lets do flat bench only add about 10 more lbs to what my last heaviest set was.
low and behold i bench it. so my next set i drop down about 50bls and raise my reps. wow next i drop down to my warmup and rep out. i got a good burn from it. so now instead of my second exercise for a muscle group of starting over i add 10-20lbs of my last heaviest set and start from there going down on weight and up on reps.
anybody else tried this? this type of workout may have been around all ready and i have just not done it but it works for me.
this is an example of it
incline bench.
set-1 and 2
warmup 135lbs x15-20 reps
set-3 225 x15
set-4 315 x8-10
set-5 335x 6-8
set-6 385 x4-6 with 2 neg.
i rest 2min inbetween each set
flat bench set-1 395x4-6
set-2 315x 8-10
set-3 225 rep out
then to pec dec or flyes
