Not sure if you know this already or not but the owner of Metroflex 'discovered' Ronnie Coleman back in the 80's. He had no ambition to ever compete and it was the owner dude who offered him free membership, supps, competiton fees, etc. and talked him into taking bodybuilding serious and eventually competing.

It was just a hobby to him at the time but the owner saw that he had superior genetics for the sport.

He said he knew he would be a champion and the rest is history.

I would DEF pay a kid a few bucks to rerack my weights. its one of the most mundane time wasters in the gym. you know how long it takes to load a leg press with 1000lbs? it get real old real fast

I would never expect Ron Coleman as Mr. O to rack his own weights if he is the #1 bodybuilder in the world... give the guy a perk lol. NFL has ALL KINDS of people catering to them and all kinds of perks... cant the best bb'er in the world get a lil benefit from the title lol?

Big Ron put that gym on the map. put brian on the map. gave him the ability to franchise his gym, promote a bb'ing show etc. The relationship is very beneficial to Dobson and they are legitimate friends

EDIT: I literally use machine leg press and machine squat machine some workouts cuz I am literally so tired of racking and unracking... I been lifting for over 20 years... it gets fucking OLD

I always looked at it like he is a pro at the top of his game, so a team behind him that increases his efficiency seems appropriate.

If setting his weights up and re-racking gives him even a small advantage with his lifts/recovery/oxygen uptake then it makes sense.

Most top athletes have assistants handling their every day life. Cooks that make their meals.

Accountants and finance management... stress management. Drivers, butlers etc. Golf caddies to carry your shit. Teams to put tires on your race car. etc.

They just worry about their training and bringing the money in... and all the people around them get rewarded/paid. I can understand why that might annoy some but it is what it is.

Dobson was rewarded tenfold for helping Ronnie.

Yeah but I go hit the weights to forget about the day by day assholes and focus on my work out. Of course you can there is assholes at the gym but at least most of,them give a shit,to show respect to the gym I go to. Having someone trip over a weight because some fucktard can't have some consecration should be thrown out in,the gym. I don't want to spend a hour trying to find the same pair of weights when I'm trying to get in and out of there.
