Yeah I was thinking the name didn’t look rightDifferent dude.
Unless specified, a multi isn’t going to have shit for d3.I've taken a multivitamin since I was a fetus but was still somehow deficient
I would't ever use a D3 pressed tab. Odds of poor ( or no) dissolution are high with crappy brands.
Always softgels filled with a good oil and taken with the "fattest" meal of the day.
The capsules from Thorne are fine as they contain vitamin e in them. Trust me I have endless amounts of bloodwork to support Thorne working.I ordered the thorn brand that @bbxtreme suggested and they came as capsules. Sad day

Check your co-factors as mentioned above. Also what is your storage D levels?Has anyone here ever had negative reactions to D3? Mine is at the bottom of the range, but any time I supplement with any amount of D3 I get lethargic, brain fog, low energy/mood. Not sure why.
I have a weird reaction to the oil capsules. If I consume them, within an hour I'm frequently urinating for 1-2 hours. This is at 3000-5000 IUs and trying different brands. I get the same problem with omega-3/fish oil. Mentioned it to my doctor and they found it as strange as I do.Has anyone here ever had negative reactions to D3? I'll take a look at that. I'm assuming that's the 25-hydroxy D3 blood test? I come back consistently without supplementation between 28-30 (quest range 30-100). Below range or at the bare minimum.Check your co-factors as mentioned above. Also what is your storage D levels?
Unfortunately I have the same results from liquid gels or the powder capsules. My doctor suggested a once weekly injection as a possibility, but I've been hesitant to take a mega dose at once due to how negatively small doses cause me to feel.I have a weird reaction to the oil capsules. For the D3 I switched to a veggie cap and the issue isn't as bad. I wonder about doing protocols. Most take a certain amount every day but I wonder if there is efficacy in taking a higher dose (relative to the individual) less frequently. I remember John Meadows recommended this brand once weekly.
Vitamin D3
I know Vitamin D has become a hot topic. How much Vitamin D do you normally take on a daily basis? I am going to have my levels checked, but I am taking 4000ius'.www.professionalmuscle.com

Ah sorry - I didn't realize that. The D2 came back at <4. I haven't tried Thorne for d3 but typically use pure encapsulations (powder in capsules) for my supplements.D2 is storage
D3 is active
I personally always like to run both. And co-factors where needed to ensure your able to convert and use it in the body.
As mentioned above quality is everything whether it’s in an oil or capsule as oils can easily go rancid from these cheap supplement companies, especially if they’re not properly stabilized during production.
I’d give Thorne a shot. Pure Encapsulations is hit or miss I have found with some people.Ah sorry - I didn't realize that. The D2 came back at <4. I haven't tried Thorne for d3 but typically use pure encapsulations (powder in capsules) for my supplements.
I was worried about the quality going downhill when Nestle acquired them lol. I'll give thorne a shot and look at the cofactors. Thanks brother.I’d give Thorne a shot. Pure Encapsulations is hit or miss I have found with some people.
And yes, before anyone says it I know they are owned by Nestle. Lol the chocolate guys aren’t always the best at making supplements though.
Some studies on Melanoma seem to suggest that with infrequent administration of large amounts , enzymes that inactivate vitamin D become active in skin and other cell types. This does not happen if you take a small amount of vitamin D every day.Unfortunately I have the same results from liquid gels or the powder capsules. How much zinc are you takingI take vitamin d3 and zinc year round. I know it’s helped boost my immune system because since I’ve started this protocol, I no longer get sick. I think vitamin d3 is underrated.
