What do you eat/drink post workout?

I just ate , 40 min post workout ,
9oz boiled chicken breast , 4oz brown rice and a half cup asparagus

Drank my preworkout shake during the first half of training 50-60grams whey with a whole banana blended up in it.
 
50 grams Protein Shake immediatley after..

Then I got home and had a ground beef sandwich with two slices of Ezekiel bread and a coke zero.

Hey bro , what is that bread your eating and where are you getting it? I hear it all the time on here but have never found it , is it some kind of whole wheat or somthin?
 
Ezekial bread has zero flower and is about 12 grams of carbs per slice.. it isnt the tastiest stuff but you can have like 3 slices to get about 40grams of carbs.. I like it actually.. its sold at trader joes...and whole foods..
 
lba, apple or banana, coconut oil
 
50gms whey, 50-60gms waxy maize, 10gms of glutamine, 10gms of creatine, bcaa's.

I've found 2 grocery stores nearby that sell Ezekial bread...Big Y and Price Chopper. They have it in a small freezer in the bread isle. I have a feeling more stores will start carrying it soon. I always have a loaf in my house. Great to eat when I'm craving carbs, especially at night.

But for my post workout meal:

2 Scoops whey
3/4 Cup oatmeal
1/2 TBSP Splenda brown sugar mix and a dash of cinnamon.

love zeke bread!! some stores keep it in the frozen section. they have a few different variations i stick to the original or cinnamon raisen (sp?)

You must not have tried the Cin/Riasin kind yet!! I could sit down and eat a loaf of that shit.

OP: Make sure you're looking in the organic foods frozen section (or perhaps any frozen section). It's actually a live bread so it cannot (should not) be kept at room temperature.
 
tonight...immediately post workout: 2 scoops Size On, 1 scoop Anatrop, 1 low fat granola bar (not sure why...sounded good)

30 minutes later: 8 oz pasta, 8 oz lean ground beef
 
I going to switch to this protocol for off season:

Immediately after WO
50 grams of whey
10 grams leucine

Within 20-30 minutes
25 grams of casin
40 grams of waximaise

Within 1 -1 1/2 hours
8 oz lean meat
2 cup rice
1 peice of fruit
 
all this talk about bread is really making me hungry.. Never tried that cinnamon one but sounds awesome.. the one thing i dont like about Ezekial are the damn slices are so small..

And you guys are right.. the stuff is sprouting up in grocery stores too.. expensive but worth it..

Brings back memories of when I was eating straight honey or a box of sweet tarts for my carb source in my PWO shakes. People thought I was nuts breaking out a box of sweet tarts or honey, but it was pure dextrose and it really worked.. Much better than buying dextrose powder and trying to drink sugar water. I suppose now there are many new ways of taking it.
