being around a long long time it's interesting to watch the next big thing come and go continuously, it's much like other fads in clothing etc. even trainers/gurus go thru there 15mins until the next guy comes around. No judgement, just interesting to watch over the years. You always see the posts about guys using all the crazy stuff back in the 80'-90's and laughing about it, I was one of them. It just continues to evolve.
ECB totally agree. I am pretty much in the same situation. But and I went right back to food for my nutrient timing, same pump, same results. Always thought it was interesting to that Cutler used regular coke.

though re-reading your thread I don't spend more than a total of 4 hours per week in the gym. 45 minutes 4x per week is fine with me
and going againest the current train of thought isn't flaming anyone at all. Nutrient timing is where it's.
as far as pre-workouts....funny story. Young kid at the gym has to take an "emergency" crap 30minutes after his shake every time......bathrooms we're closed for remodeling at the gym, lmao
It is NOT the "current train of thought"!
Where do you get that this is "current"?
It's getting the nutrients in at a time your body will utilize it the best, the easiest way. Easy digestible carbs with EAA's is hardly a mind blowing creation. Can someone drink a Gatorade with EAA's in it, of course, I did for a while. I've been using the MD Intra drink and can tell you that I haven't been near as sore as I was when drinking the Gatorade with EAA's, that's a fact. Same intensity in the gym, just a quicker recovery. Guess it's the fad placebo that's got me not sore
Maybe you should show us your progress with your simple ways. And how much you continue to change year by year?I see this list of crap people now drink during a workout and it makes me laugh.
